Fix: Russian and other non-Latin terms not displayed and inserted correctly
Applies to:
TWB - 2.x, TWB - 3
SYMPTOMS
Note: This problem described in this article has been fixed in TRADOS 5 and later, both for Windows 9x/ME and Windows NT/2000-based systems.
Russian or other non-Latin terms are not correctly displayed in
- the term recognition window
- the front-end (such as Word or TagEditor)
when inserted using the Get Current Term command.
EXPLANATION
This problem has been fixed since Translator's Workbench 2.x Build 33. For Edition 3 and earlier, however, this fix does not work on Windows 9x systems since they have insufficient support for Unicode. If you use a localised (Russian) version of Windows 9x, however, inserting terms should work without problems.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Term recognition and insertion problems with non-Latin character sets such as Russian, Greek or Asian languages have all been fixed in TRADOS 5, both for Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT/2000-based systems.
